I apprehend, Sir, that any gentleman would have the right to refuse to answer any of these questions; - as tending quite as much to inculpate the Chief Justice as to exculpate myself; and no doubt such would be his answer. What would be the answer of a person who takes the same view of the obligations imposed by social confidence as Captain Watkins, Captain King or Captain ...
